Polyformaldehyde (pom) is a kind of engineering plastics with
excellent performance, which is known as "steal steel" and "super
steel" in foreign countries.Pom with similar hardness, strength and
rigidity of metal, in a very wide range of temperature and humidity
have good self-lubrication, good fatigue resistance, and full of
elasticity, in addition it also has good resistance to chemical
character.Pom at a cost lower than many other engineering plastics
are replacing some traditionally occupied by the metal in the
market, such as alternative zinc, brass, aluminum and steel to make
many parts, since the advent of pom has been widely used in
electrical, mechanical, instrument, daily light industrial,
automotive, building materials, agriculture and other fields.In
many new fields, such as medical technology and sports equipment,
pom also showed good growth.
POM has very low friction coefficient and very good geometrical
stability, especially suitable for making gears and
bearings.Because of its high temperature resistance, it is also
used in pipeline components (pipeline valves, pump housing), lawn
equipment and so on .
Polymethyl methacrylate as a transparent material with excellent
performance is widely used in the following aspects:
1. Lamps and lanterns, lighting equipment, such as various
household lamps, fluorescent lampshades, car tail lights, signal
lights, road signs.
2. Optical glass, such as making lenses, mirrors, prisms, TV
screens, Fresnel lenses, and cameras.
3. Prepare various instrument meter dial, cover shell and dial.
4. Prepare optical fiber.
5. Merchandise advertisement window, billboard.
6. Bullet-proof glass for aircraft cockpit glass, aircraft and car
(with intermediate interlayer material).
